The two sides will try to understand whether games can cause real-world attacks
Joe Biden, the vice president of the United States of America, is set to meet with representatives of the video game industry in order to discuss the subjects of violent titles and the impact that they might have on gun-related incidents.The talk comes after the Sandy Hook incident, which saw 20 people die at the hands of a gunman.
Reports suggested that violent video games like Dynasty Warriors and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 contributed to the attacker’s breakdown.
Joe Biden has created an official task force that is set to deal with the issue of gun violence and Jay Carney, the spokesman of the White House, is quoted by VG247 as saying that the entity “will also meet with representatives of the entertainment and video-game industries.”
Representatives of the National Rifle Association will also be invited.
