The development team at Treyarch and publisher Activision are confirming that they are working on a third downloadable content pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, called Vengeance, which was rumored earlier in the day.

The DLC will introduce four new maps for the multiplayer modes, named: Cove, Detour, Rush and Uplink.

Players will also get access to a re-imagined version of Summit, one of the classic maps for the shooter, and Buried, the new zombie-based adventure, will also be delivered, complete with a bonus weapon called Ray Gun Mark II.

Gamers will get Vengeance for Black Ops 2 first on the Xbox 360, on July 2, with the PC and the PlayStation 3 getting access to it about one month later.

Call of Duty: Ghosts, the next title in the series, will be released in the fall.
