Valve has confirmed that it's going to resubmit an uncut version of Left 4 Dead 2 in Australia, as the company now hopes that its violent zombie shooter will be classified under the new RA18+ rating.

Australia's strict video game classification ratings meant that a lot of violent titles couldn't even be sold on the territory of the large country. As such, plenty of developers either cut a lot of violent content from the game or didn't even try to sell their titles "down under."

Now, with the introduction of the RA18+ rating, a lot of violent video games might finally be classified for release in Australia.

We already heard about Mortal Kombat and now Valve has confirmed on its forums that it's going to try and submit an uncut version of Left 4 Dead 2 in Australia.

The developer tried once to release an unedited edition of the zombie shooter but was refused by the ratings authority. The studio then released a heavily modified version that was cleared for release but didn't impress that many gamers.
