Sony has confirmed that Amy Hennig, the writer and director of the Uncharted series for Naughty Dog, is no longer working at the studio, and a recent report says that she was forced to leave the studio by her fellow co-workers.

Amy Hennig made a name for herself in the gaming industry through great franchises like Legacy of Kain, and at Naughty Dog she masterminded the hugely successful Uncharted saga.

More recently, she has been leading the Uncharted 4 project on the PlayStation 4, which is on track for a proper reveal later this year.

Unfortunately, it seems that Hennig is no longer working at Naughty Dog, as confirmed by Sony via a statement for IGN.

"We can confirm that Amy Hennig has left Naughty Dog. Amy has made significant contributions to the game industry and we appreciate all she has done for Naughty Dog. The development timeline of Uncharted will not be impacted," the company said.

Hennig finished working at the studio on March 3 and apparently she was forced out of the company by Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, the two guys behind Naughty Dog's last project, The Last of Us.

Apparently, both Druckmann and Straley will take over Uncharted 4 and bring it to fruition.
