Justin Richmond, who was working on the new PlayStation 4 based Uncharted project, announces that he is leaving developer Naughty Dog in order to take up a new position at Riot Games.

He tells IGN that, "I love the company and the people and know that they will continue to create awesome games going forward. On a happier note, after careful consideration and exploration I have joined Riot Games. There is some really innovative stuff going on here that I can't wait to be a part of."

The developer is not saying exactly what he is working on at his new company.

Richmond has been involved in the development of the multiplayer side of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and served as the game director on Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.

Previously, Amy Hennig, the creative director at Naughty Dog, also left the company and offered no reason for her decision.

The studio has not commented on the decision made by Justin Richmond and has not said who is set to replace him as the leader of the Uncharted title that will be launched on the new PlayStation 4.

There are no details offered on the experience at the moment, but rumors have suggested that Nathan Drake might no longer be the main character.
