The placeholder date has been pushed back by Amazon

Large retailer Amazon has moved the placeholder release date of the upcoming Uncharted 4 from December 31, 2014, to December 31, 2015, suggesting that the game's launch has also slipped from this year to the next one.

Uncharted 4 was revealed through a teaser video in December of last year and, since then, developer Naughty Dog and publisher Sony have declined to make comments about when the game will come out or its actual theme and story.

Now, Amazon, which initially listed the game with a placeholder release date of December 31, 2014, has just switched it to December 31, 2015, as spotted by DualShockers.

This small move could mean that Sony no longer expects to release the new Uncharted game in 2014 and will just deploy it for the PlayStation 4 in 2015.

The company already has a big list of upcoming PS4 exclusives, starting with March's Infamous: Second Son and continuing with Driveclub or The Order: 1886.
