The Naughty Dog developed Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has received the video game related award from the Writer’s Guild of America, which basically means that it is the best written video game of the last year.

Competition was pretty stiff, with Uncharted 3 going up against Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, written by the same team that won the WGA award last year, and also competed with Batman: Arkham City, the rebooted Mortal Kombat and Brink.

Main writer Amy Henning was the one to accept the award on behalf of the team at Naughty Dog.

She has been with the series since the first title and has created both the personalities of the main characters and the funny banter that lightens the mood of the game.

At the moment the Naughty Dog team is no longer working on an Uncharted project, although Sony seems interested in continuing to launch titles linked to the universe, and is working on The Last of Us, a disaster game with a human touch.
