Gamescom 2012 is set to kick off in less than a month and it seems that attendants of the large gaming expo won't get to try out one of the most intriguing games from Ubisoft: Watch Dogs.

Watch Dogs impressed quite a lot of people at E3 2012, combining a near future setting with all sorts of gadgets and feeding the paranoia of those who feel they're always being watched and monitored.

The game's impressive graphics even led some to speculate that the title will appear for next generation platforms like the PlayStation 4 or Xbox 720, but Ubisoft quickly revealed that it's going to release it for PC, as well as PS3 and Xbox 360.

Now, the company has confirmed to Playfront that Watch Dogs won't be showcased at Gamescom 2012 this August.

Instead, the French publisher revealed that it's going to bring some of its other upcoming games, including Assassin's Creed 3 or Far Cry 3.
