Ubisoft has talked a bit about its long-dormant franchises, like Prince of Persia or Beyond Good & Evil, and emphasized that it's not going to stop working on them, as it's busy thinking about their future and what it wants to deliver for them.

Ubisoft featured quite a lot of big games at its E3 2014 presentation, from Assassin's Creed Unity to Far Cry 4, The Division, or Rainbow Six Siege.

Once again, classic franchises like Prince of Persia or Beyond Good & Evil haven't seen any announcements, but this doesn't mean that the publisher has stopped working on them.

Quite the opposite, according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, who talked with IGN about the two major series.

"We are not going to stop those properties. We are going to work on them. The teams are really looking at what we can come with. I think you will really like what you see in the future. It could take some time to make sure we are really delivering what we want."

Ubisoft Montreal CEO Yannis Mallat also mentioned that his team has nothing to discuss about the Prince of Persia series but he did say that he met with franchise creator Jordan Mechner for lunch recently, as they're still good friends.

Until Ubisoft is finally ready to announce anything about the two franchises, expect to see more rumors and speculation.
