14 DAY TRIAL // The previously rumored Prince of Persia reboot, which saw a few images leak last year, has now received a special video that confirms its name, or at least codename – Osiris.
Ubisoft is preparing quite a few new projects and one of them was previously reported to be a reboot for the Prince of Persia franchise that reimagines the whole series.
Now, that project has just received a leaked video thanks to the Vimeo page of composer Mark Kilian, via NeoGAF. The footage, which was posted on YouTube afterwards, depicts some motion capture sessions but also features some concept art that includes previously seen images from the project, which is apparently codenamed Osiris.
As you can see above, it depicts a few scenes from ancient Egypt, including the proclamation of a pharaoh, so the link to the Prince of Persia franchise might not even be there.
As of yet, however, nothing is official and Ubisoft hasn't commented on the leak.
