14 DAY TRIAL // The moderators of the Twitch streaming service are at the moment cracking down on all streams that use the Playroom features of the new PlayStation 4 home console but do not focus on gaming-related content.
An official Twitter message from the company states, “Non-gaming content (c): If using PS4 Playroom, the content must be about games or gaming and within our ToS. Thanks for understanding. 2/2”
Some PS4 users have used Playroom to create homemade shows that are focused on questions or on other off-topic debates.
There have also been reports of some R18+ content in some streams.
Twitch says that it has long-term plans to accommodate all PlayStation 4 created streams as long as users are focused on games that are playable on the new console.
Both the Sony device and its rival, the Microsoft-made Xbox One, are using streaming in order to give players a quick and easy way of sharing footage with friends.
