The mode is not up to the quality standards of the developer

Developer Frozenbyte says that it invested a lot of work into the Magic Mayhem mode that would exploit the unique capabilities of the Wii U console from Nintendo but that, at the moment, its launch no longer represents a priority.

The development team tells GamingBolt that, “The idea was to have small mini-games that would really make use of the Wii U Gamepad, in the end we had a lot of work with bringing the DLC up to the level of quality that we intended, so scrapping the Magic Mayhem for the launch window made sense.”

At the moment, the DLC might be launched in the future but fans should not count on the possibility.

Regardless of the final decision, Frozenbyte has plans to launch more downloadable content for the Wii U version of Trine 2: Director’s Cut.
