Trine 2: Director’s Cut is out now and developer Frozenbyte has finally received some fresh screenshots, as well as its actual launch trailer, in order to get new Wii U owners interested in the downloadable game.

The Nintendo Wii U was finally released in North America yesterday, November 18, and, besides a variety of retail games, new owners of the console can also download impressive titles via the eShop, including Trine 2: Director’s Cut.

Now, in order to promote the gorgeous downloadable game, Frozenbyte has just posted some screenshots with it, via Facebook, as well as the actual launch trailer.

Both the images and the video show off the lush environments of the game, as well as the special Wii U-exclusive Dwarven Caverns expansion, which won’t come out for other versions of the game, like the ones for the PC, PS3, or Xbox 360.

Trine 2: Director’s Cut is already out in North America and will be released for Europe on November 30, when the Wii U is launched in that region. Until then, enjoy the video above and the screenshots.
