Trine 2: Director's Cut, one of the most anticipated downloadable games for the Nintendo Wii U, hasn't been released in Australia, as developer Frozenbyte was apparently late in submitting the game to the Australian Classification Board.

The Wii U came out last week in Europe, as well as in Australia or New Zealand, and was accompanied by a variety of retail games and downloadable titles that are accessible through the eShop online store.

Sadly for Australians, Trine 2: Director's Cut wasn't among these launch-day games, as Frozenbyte told CVG that it had been late in sending the game to the Australian Classification Board, meaning the title will be released around the middle of December.

Wii U owners will still be able to get the game with a 20% discount for the first few weeks, so they shouldn't worry about the delay all that much.
