The LEGO Group has been including a new insert in recent shipments of the LEGO Super Hero toys that confirm that the company, together with Telltale Games and Warner Bros., is working on a sequel to the very successful LEGO Batman video game.

The ads for LEGO Batman 2 are included in the instruction manual for the new toys, which are set to get an official release in early 2012 but are already available in some stores in the United States.

The game will have the subtitle Super Heroes and will apparently include Superman and Wonder Woman as core characters, in addition to Batman.

The toy line will also include The Joker, the Green Lantern and Lex Luthor, which might also mean that gamers will get to meet them if not play as them in the second Batman video game.

Warner Bros has not officially announced LEGO Batman 2 but fans are expecting to see it launch during 2012 on the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360, the PC, the Nintendo 3DS and the PS Vita.
