Developer The Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA are announcing that they have plans to launch a Gold Edition of Total War: Shogun 2 for the PC on March 15 of this year.

The new package will include the core game, which takes players back to Japan for a mix of turn-based strategy and real-time tactics, the Rise of the Samurai expansion, offering a prequel to the game, and the Fall of the Samurai content, which deals with XIX century warfare.

The Gold Edition will be available in both physical form and via digital distribution services like Steam.

The two companies have not made it clear whether they also plan to add all the separate DLC packs into the Gold package.

Total War: Rome 2 is expected to launch during the fall of this year.
