The development team at The Creative Assembly is launching a new piece of downloadable content for its Total War: Rome II, which allows gamers to use three new factions in their games: Roxolani, Massagetae and Royal Scythians.

All of them are part of the Nomadic culture pack and that means the focus of any campaign that features them will be on quick cavalry-led raids against more settled enemies and on expansion to those territories that fail to develop the required tactics to stop them.

The team states in the official announcement, “Defined by their independence, their excellence on horseback and their ability to swiftly assemble large armies, The Nomadic Tribes bring an entirely new cultural flavor to ROME II.”

Recently, Total War: Rome II players also got access to the Seleucid faction for free and to the massive 1.5 patch for the game.

The Creative Assembly says that it is currently focusing on patches and DLC that expand the scope of the strategy title.
