Developer The Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA announce that they are offering all those who buy Total War: Rome II early access to Arena, the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena title based on the franchise.

Fans will be able to play the game before all other gamers and will also be automatically offered an upgrade to Legion status, which means that they get access to a number of items from the Legion Armory and about 15 dollars or Euro of game funds to spend.

Arena is designed to take the core ideas of the Total War series and turn them into a quick to play multiplayer experience that allows each player to focus on a limited number of units.

Rome II is set to launch on September 3 exclusively on the PC and those who pre-order will also get access to a pack of Greek factions.
