The development team at inXile Entertainment is offering a new trailer for their upcoming Torment: Tides of Numenera, which is designed to offer gamers a more in-depth look at The Ninth World, the set of locations that they will be able to explore.

Several scenes from the title are included, but the studio makes it clear that this is not the final look of the game and that changes will be made in the coming months and the combat shown will be tweaked.

Mark Morgan has created the music for the new trailer.

The Ninth World is filled with remnants of the civilizations that have inhabited it over huge historical periods.

Torment: Tides of Numenera is a role-playing game that is based on a setting created by Monte Cook.

The title is designed to be a spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment and will focus on the story and the interactions between the various characters.

Torment: Tides of Numenera was funded on Kickstarter and had more than 90,000 backers, interested in hearing how the game will answer the question: What does one life matter?

The game is at the moment supposed to be launched on the PC before the end of the year, but it will probably receive another delay.
