The development team at InXile Entertainment is ready to deliver the first video look at the upcoming Torment: Tides of Numenera, designed to show both Kickstarter backers and the general public what the title can offer and how the creation process has been progressing so far.

There are three minutes of footage taken from the pre-alpha version of the experience, which means that a lot of the small details might suffer significant changes before the title is fully launched.

The team states, “A cross-section of Torment gameplay, this first-glimpse shows an example of the narrative and choice-based focus of the upcoming cRPG and a taste of the look and atmosphere inXile is aiming for in the first video game representation of Monte Cook’s Numenera RPG setting.”

The Bloom area of Torment: Tides of Numenera is shown, one of the weirdest parts of the game where settlers are claiming ownership of the insides of a giant and transdimensional creature that is parasitic in nature.

InXile is also introducing a new site for the game, which allows backers to manage their pledges and reveals details about the title to the public.

Torment: Tides of Numenera is being developed using money gathered from the fan community, and the company plans to launch the experience on the PC in 2015.
