The team at InXile working on Torment: Tales of Numenera says that the coming game will be as reactive as its other project, Wasteland 2, but with a number of tweaks designed to show off the unique features of the world.

Kevin Saunders, a leading developer on the project, tells Rock, Paper, Shotgun that, “We’re striving for the same over the top level of reactivity, like we are for Wasteland 2.”

He adds, “we’re not planning to let you fight anyone, anywhere.”

Wasteland 2 is a more open world experience and the InXile team wants to make sure that for Torment: Tales of Numenera, the flavor of the game is reflected in the reaction mechanics.

Torment: Tales of Numenera is expected to be launched in 2014 and Wasteland 2 will get a beta version in the fall of this year.
