Video game developer Robomondo and publisher Activision are ready to confirm that they are working on Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5, which is set to be a classic take on the mechanics of the series and will arrive later in the year.

Initially, versions for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 will be offered, but the two companies will also deliver ports for older consoles.

The gameplay of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 will be linked to the first four titles in the franchise, but it will also include elements like power-ups and even a way to shoot projectiles for a limited number of missions, according to Game Informer.

The game is designed to be played solo, in online coop, or competitively, and players will also have the option to design their own skate parks and then share them with the rest of the community.

Each level will have a clear set of objectives to reach, and players will be able to unlock more options each time they level up their character, either online or offline.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 will feature the characters from the title and will also include familiar names like Nyjah Huston, Aaron Homoki, Ishod Wair, Riley Hawk, Lizzie Armanto, Chris Cole, David Gonzalez, Leticia Bufoni, and Andrew Reynolds.
