The upcoming Tomb Raider game will, in fact, feature a multiplayer mode, as this week's leak has now been confirmed by the Official Xbox Magazine alongside its latest cover reveal.

The Tomb Raider series is getting ready to receive a reboot in March of next year, as developer Crystal Dynamics wants to restart the story of Lara Croft with a new version of the heroine and a bigger emphasis on story and survival.

Now, after a leak from a retailer, the Official Xbox Magazine has confirmed, via the TR Tumblr, that the new Tomb Raider game will feature a multiplayer mode.

What's more, the online mode is being developed by Eidos Montreal, the same studio behind last year's Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

No other details are known, but you can expect to hear more as we get closer to the game's release on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on March 5.
