Respawn Entertainment, the developer of the upcoming Titanfall first-person shooter, has dismissed any rumors about bribing journalists for media coverage of the new game.

Titanfall is one of the most anticipated games of the year, and it amazed millions of gamers worldwide back at E3 2013 when it was revealed for the first time and gathered a bunch of awards from media outlets.

Now, ahead of the game's launch next month, one of Respawn's developers has come forward and dismissed any rumors about paying off journalists or bribing them in exchange for coverage.

"We've had to fight tooth and nail to have a game that anyone would even know existed, let alone be excited for and want to create coverage of. I get it that it’s not for everyone, but to say we're paying anyone off is downright insanity. Not to mention the height of insulting," he said on NeoGAF.

Titanfall makes its debut next month on PC and Xbox One first, and then on the Xbox 360 a few weeks after.
