If you're curious about the upcoming Resident Evil HD Remastered edition that's due out sometime early next year, then you're in luck, as two videos showing gameplay footage from the PS4 version of the horror title have popped up on the Internet.

The two videos have been released by GameSpot, clocking in at around five minutes each, showing how the game runs and how the recreated assets transform the original experience. The first video shows Chris Redfield in action, while the second one shows gameplay from the perspective of Jill Valentine.

The upcoming third-person action-adventure video game is the remastered version of the 2002 GameCube release, and it will come with full 1080p resolution visuals and support for 5.1 surround audio.

Additionally, gamers will also be able to choose between enjoying the game in the original 4:3 ratio and in 16:9, and also between the classic control scheme and the modern one, that makes the playable character move in the direction you press the stick in.

Resident Evil one is an iconic entry in the horror genre, earning a lot of praise at the time of launch in 1996, and still being considered a prime example of blending horror, puzzle solving and action sequences into an engaging package.

Resident Evil HD Remaster is scheduled to come out sometime in early 2015, headed for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms.
