Developer Telltale Games announces that The Wolf Among Us will be coming to retail and next-gen platforms in early November.

The Wolf Among Us is a point-and-click adventure video game based on Bill Willingham's "Fables" comic book series, starring Bigby Wolf, a Big Bad Wolf that's found the right path and is now tasked with keeping fellow fantasy emigrants safe in New York City.

The five-part adventure will be released in a single package, and the trailer released by the developer teases some of the events going on in the series.

Telltale Games struck gold with its engrossing adventure games, based on popular comics and other media franchises, including The Walking Dead, which also has an extremely popular TV adaptation.

The company is also working on two new projects, one based on the Borderlands franchise and the other, scheduled to come later on, inspired by George R. R. Martin's fantasy series "A Song of Ice and Fire," better known through its TV adaptation "Game of Thrones."

The Wolf Among Us will be released in physical form for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms on November 4 in North America and on November 7 in Europe, at which time it will also make its debut as a digital download on current-gen consoles.
