Developer CD Projekt RED has just unveiled the TV commercial for its upcoming role-playing game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

The title is one of the most highly anticipated video games of the near future, and the gameplay videos shown so far paint a pretty rosy picture for it.

Judging by CD Projekt RED's track record, and the popularity of The Witcher and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, the next entry in the series is bound to offer a solid experience as well. The third chapter in the story of Geralt of Rivia is also going to be the last, as the white-haired monster hunter explores some of the mysteries of hist past.

The game will feature a sprawling open world for players to explore, and some of the most gorgeous visuals ever seen in video gaming.

The TV commercial shows the general tone of the Witcher games, inspired by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski's fantasy universe, where you don't play the role of a hero as much as that of an outcast, a professional doing his best to survive and do that which he has been raised to do: track down and destroy evil, in whatever form it takes.

Also, effortlessly taking down huge monsters with a single crossbow bolt. As long as you don't expect your ranged attacks to fare this well in-game, you'll be fine though.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled to come out on May 19, headed to Windows PC and the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 home consoles.
