It appears that, just like most games nowadays, CD Projekt RED's upcoming action role-playing game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, will also be getting a day-one patch.

The news comes from Miles Tost, level designer at the Polish studio, who has revealed via Twitter that the patch is meant to make the first-time experience as solid as possible when the game reaches the gaming community's hands.

According to the dev, the patch is not supposed to fix anything, but only to further improve the experience. In a day and age when we expect a game not to work properly at launch, this is truly surprising news.

The update is the result of the work the team put in after The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt had reached gold, and will only deliver a number of minor tweaks.

For the time being, there is no word on how big the patch will be, but the base game client is expected to weigh in at around 50 GB.

The game will deliver the thrilling conclusion to Geralt of Rivia's saga, delving into his dark past, providing a much more personal journey, and having him face a new enemy, an otherworldly army that threatens the entire Northern Kingdoms.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled for launch on May 19, 2015, headed to the Window PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.
