The Technomancer, the post-apocalyptic role-playing game from the makers of Bound by Flame, has just gotten a series of neat new screenshots.
Bound by Flame wasn't exactly stellar, but it wasn't bad either, offering an enjoyable experience for fans of action role-playing games, with a challenging combat system and some interesting ideas thrown in. Spiders' previous works include Mars: War Logs and Of Orcs and Men, an intriguing twist on the classic role-playing formula.
The Technomancer is set in a quasi-cyberpunk world, and developer Spiders will present it in more detail next month, at the E3 convention in Los Angeles, but for the time being, we have some new eye candy to leer at.
The game is set on Mars, and follows the story of an aspiring Technomancer who sees his future threatened by the secrets of his past. The latest images show the Technomancer's party arriving at Noctis, one of the free cities on the red planet, opposing the great companies who seek to control Mars, but still plagued by its own internal problems, including bandits, pillagers and dangerous creatures.
The Technomancer is currently scheduled for release sometime in 2016, headed to PC, to the PlayStation 4 home console from Sony, and the Xbox One computer entertainment system from Microsoft.
