The latest free update for acclaimed life simulation game The Sims 4 introduces a number of notable features, among which deeper basements, taller buildings and an Easter event.

The newest patch from developer Maxis addresses a number of known issues, and also introduces a wide array of tweaks and fixes, which you can read all about in the patch notes.

The most important and visible additions in the update are basements that go two levels deep and a fourth top floor, enabling users to further expand their homes and customize them using the large assortment of options available to them.

The Sims 4's Build Mode allows creative people to build pretty much whatever they like, and now, after the update, buildings can have a total of six floors, up from the previous limit of three.

Furthermore, the update also introduces a special time-limited challenge event that will run through the month of April, called the Bunny Egg hunt, enabling Sims to discover decorative eggs scattered all around the game world, and players who manage to collect all ten different models will be able to unlock a giant stuffed bunny.

The update also comes with a slew of performance improvements and a more streamlined interface, as well as two brand new hair models, the ones unlocked after the community WooHoo weekend.

The game is also getting its first major expansion soon, titled Get to Work, adding a bunch of new career options and numerous other features.
