The teams at Mojang and Microsoft in charge of Minecraft are announcing that they are launching a new content pack for the indie title, which allows gamers to get access to characters from the Simpsons.

At the moment, the DLC is only offered on the Xbox One and on the Xbox 360 and is sold for 2.99 dollars or Euro.

The full list of Simpsons characters coming to the game includes: Homer Simpson, Marge Simpson, Bart Simpson, Lisa Simpson, Maggie Simpson, Principal Seymour Skinner, Mrs. Edna Krabappel, Groundskeeper Willie, Otto Mann, Milhouse Van Houten, Nelson Muntz, Jimbo Jones, Ralph Wiggum, Martin Prince, Kearney, Dolph, Wendell, Database, Uter, Janey Powell, Superintendent Gary Chalmers, Mr. Dewey Largo, Sherri and Terri.

The same package will also be delivered on the other platforms on which Minecraft is offered, but no official date has been offered so far.

Microsoft owns Mojang and the game, and that's the reason why some of the DLC is coming first to the Xbox One and the 360.

The company has not yet announced what the long-term plans for the franchise are, but it has promised that there are no plans to make it exclusive to the hardware that it manufactures.
