Good Old Games, the digital distribution service focused on offering some of the most impressive classic games, has just started selling the original Syndicate, the hit strategy game made by Bullfrog and published by Electronic Arts.

The Syndicate series dazzled strategy fans back in the 1990s with its superb gameplay, deep customization mechanics and impressive graphics.

Now, just as the franchise is getting ready for a reboot, in the form of the Syndicate first person shooter from Starbreeze Studios, Good Old Games has started offering access to the original game.

For just $5.99 (around €4.62), you can get the first Syndicate game, complete with support for all the latest Windows operating systems and without any sort of digital rights management (DRM) system, not to mention a digital copy of its manual and avatars from the game.

EA did admit that a new Syndicate strategy game might appear after the launch of the shooter, so perhaps good sales of the original will give the company more reasons to make such a project.
