The Order: 1886 launches later today, February 20, on the PS4, and Sony confirms that a day-one patch is also available for download on the PlayStation Network, which should prevent game crashes and save data corruption.

The Order: 1886 is the first major PS4 exclusive of 2015, and while both Sony and developer Ready at Dawn hyped up the third-person shooter to great lengths, the initial reviews aren't that great, as many people have complained of its short length, its lackluster story, or the myriad of cut scenes.

Even so, this doesn't mean that Ready at Dawn is abandoning the experience, as a day-one patch is already available for download via the PlayStation Network.

The update, according to Gamepur, specifically targets six rare crashes that were quite hard to reproduce but still needed fixing, as, if they happened, the user's save data would be corrupted and players would have to start from the beginning.

"Patch 1.01 will be available upon booting up the game and fixes six rare, multi-step, low production rate (hard to reproduce) crashes, the most impactful of which resulted in impacted save data. As of now, 1.01 is the only patch we have scheduled for The Order: 1886," Sony mentions about the update.

As such, don't expect to see any other patch for The Order: 1886 anytime soon.
