A video game based on The Legend of Korra animated TV series is coming this fall from Platinum Games, the Japanese studio behind hits like Bayonetta or Vanquish, and a set of screenshots, not to mention a teaser gameplay video, have just appeared.

The Legend of Korra is the sequel to the cult classic Avatar: The Last Airbender and has so far delighted fans around the world with two seasons of quality action. The third season is set to debut this week and it's just been confirmed via AGB that a video game adaptation is coming from Platinum Games and Activision.

No exact details were given, besides a fall release period, but the game will appear on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. It will be a downloadable experience and, judging by the impressive screenshots and the teaser video released alongside the announcement, it will include events from both available seasons.

Fights against the giant mechs used by the Equalists and the demons from the spirit world are shown, as well as professional bending matches, not to mention sequences that happen in Republic City.

A 3DS turn-based experience is also in the works, but its development is being handled by another studio altogether.

Expect to hear more about The Legend of Korra video game adaptation soon enough.
