The Last of Us has been eagerly awaited by millions of PS3 owners worldwide, as they were anxious to see what developer Naughty Dog was able to once again achieve on the console.
While the title was a big success in terms of critical acclaim, it's now been confirmed that it was also a great sales success, becoming the fastest selling game in the history of the PS3.
According to a statement from Sony, The Last of Us sold 3.4 million units worldwide since its release three weeks ago, on June 14.
The units were tracked both in terms of retail copies and digital downloads, as The Last of Us was available day-and-date on the PS Store.
