The development team at Naughty Dog says that it has now settled on a launch date for the PlayStation 4 version of The Last of Us, which uses the Remastered name, but it is at the moment unwilling to reveal it to the public.

The information comes from the Twitter account of a game director and after he posted his message, he was flooded with requests for more details from fans, which he proceeded to ignore.

The Last of Us player community has reacted rather negatively to the announcement, which suggests that Naughty Dog might wait at least until after the E3 2014 event in order to talk about its future plans.

The Remastered version of the video game is set to deliver an improved graphical experience, designed specifically for the PlayStation 4, and will include both single-player and multiplayer themed downloadable content that has been launched.

At the same time, Naughty Dog is introducing a new difficulty level in order to give long-term fans a more engaging and challenging experience.

At the moment, the studio is working on a new Uncharted title, which will be launched exclusively on the PlayStation 4 as well, and the company is also working on a secret, long-term project.
