Sony has once again talked about The Last Guardian, the long awaited game from its Team Ico studio, and revealed that the title is still in development and will be reintroduced when the time is right.

The Last Guardian was revealed to the world back in 2010 as the next big project from Team Ico, the studio that brought the PlayStation 2 huge hits like Ico or Shadow of the Colossus.

Sadly, it's been caught in development limbo and. Many months ago Fumito Ueda, the leader of Team Ico, withdrew from his position and, since then, he has been acting just as a consultant for Sony on the project.

With the Tokyo Games Show underway, GameInformer asked Sony's Shuhei Yoshida about the absence of The Last Guardian.

"The team is still there in SCE Japan Studio, [Fumito] Ueda-san is still there, but we are still waiting for the time to reintroduce it," Yoshida replied.

As such, fans eager for any new info will have to wait some more until they get it.
