The Evil Within, the upcoming survival horror title from Tango Gameworks and Bethesda, has just gone gold, meaning its development is complete and it's ready to launch in October across all sorts of platforms.

The Evil Within was confirmed some time ago as the next ambitious project led by famous Japanese game designer Shinji Mikami, who formed a brand new team in Tokyo called Tango Gameworks.

The game's publisher is none other than Bethesda, which already helped another major game, Wolfenstein: The New Order, launch earlier this year.

After showcasing plenty of videos, screenshots, and details, Bethesda and Tango have now confirmed on the Bethblog that The Evil Within has gone gold, meaning its development process is complete and the game can be stamped onto discs for all of its platforms.

As such, the title is ready for its upcoming launch across the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms.

The Evil Within is currently set to make its debut on October 14 in North America and Europe, on October 16 for Australia and New Zealand, and on October 23 for its native Japan.

You can expect Bethesda and Tango to kick up the marketing campaign for The Evil Within into overdrive, so that as many survival horror fans as possible are aware of its upcoming release.
