Bethesda and Tango Gameworks have confirmed that they've decided to delay The Evil Within, their upcoming survival horror game, until October, as more work is needed. At the same time, a new video showing player reactions and a pre-order bonus have been revealed.

The Evil Within was presented some time ago as the next big project of Shinji Mikami, the creator of Capcom's Resident Evil series, and was poised to deliver its survival horror experience in August.

Unfortunately, Bethesda and Tango Gameworks have decided that more development time is needed and delayed the game to an October release, according to Bethblog.

More specifically, it will appear on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on October 21 in North America and October 24 in Europe.

Pre-ordering the game until then nets players the Fighting Chance DLC Pack that includes a medical kit, an upgrade to the protagonist's abilities, a double barrel shotgun, and three shells, as well as an incendiary and poison agony bolt that will draw in enemies and inflict elemental damage.

A special video showing the reactions of players who tried out the game at different events has also been shared by Bethesda, so check it out below and see just what an effect The Evil Within had on people.
