Video game publisher Bethesda announces that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has managed to break the 20 million sales barrier and that the game continues to move copies despite the fact that it was launched in 2011 and has not received any new content for a while.

Gamespot says that the company did not clarify the platform breakdown for the copies that reached customers.

Rumors suggest that a new single-player title in the franchise is in development at the moment and will be revealed later in the year and will be launched in 2015.

At the same time, ZeniMax Online is working on The Elder Scrolls Online, which is an MMO that will be offered using a subscription business model in April on the PC and in June on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is still getting solid mods on the PC, some of them designed to enhance core features of the game and others that seek to remake older titles using the new engine.
