The development team at ZeniMax Online and publisher Bethesda are continuing their preparations for the launch of The Elder Scrolls Online on the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft, which is set to take place on June 9.

A new video in the This Is ESOTU series offers more details about the world of Tamriel and the range of options that gamers will have when they interact with it.

On the home console versions of The Elder Scrolls Online players will be able to use a new chat system, which is designed to use pre-made phrases in order to give gamers a chance to communicate quickly with friends using a controller.

The system will be improved based on the feedback that gamers deliver, with more options added to make it easier for players to coordinate their actions.

Those who pre-order The Elder Scrolls Online for consoles will get access to an Explorer's Pack, which gives gamers a chance to play all races regardless of the alliance they choose and offering them access to a new pet.

Treasure maps are also introduced for fans of The Elder Scrolls Online in order to get them a chance to quickly get access to some high-quality items for their character.
