David Polfeldt, a managing director at Ubisoft Massive, says that video games like The Division benefit greatly from the freedom that the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 create among developers with their increased hardware power and ease of use.

He is quoted by VG247 as saying that, “We had to compromise to get things done. With this generation, you have a crazy idea in the morning and we could see it up and running the next day. That puts people in a different mindset.”

The statement comes after the Ubisoft team revealed the Snowdrop engine and its impressive power.

The new game is designed to mix classic exploration, action and social elements as gamers customize a class and try to deal with the aftermath of a horrible disease that spread fast to ravage the United States.

The Division will be out in 2014 on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
