The development team at 2K Marin that created The Bureau: XCOM Declassified announces that it is working on the first piece of downloadable content for the game, called Hangar 6 R&D, which is set to be launched on October 8.

The new adventure will take place before the events of the game and will see Agent DaSilva deal with a number of psychic experiments at an undisclosed location, where he is treated with a gas in order to deal with an agent using the Sleepwalker pathogen.

Harley White-Wiedow, the leading developer on Hangar 6, states in the announcement, “We did a lot of research on psychic and psychotropic military experiments of the 60s. We watched lots of videos of soldiers giggling in trees. We read up on Remote Viewing.”

The DLC will increase the difficulty level and will test a gamer’s mastery of the Battle Focus feature.

Hangar 6 R&D also delivers new weapons, more powers and capable enemies to battle.
