The team at 2K Marin working on The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is launching a new development diary for the game that's focused on the story that the title will tell and how it is designed to enhance the core gameplay.

The new game will use a set of third-person squad-based mechanics and will allow players to control an agent who comes face to face with an alien invasion for the first time in Earth's history.

The development team says that The Bureau: XCOM Declassified will focus on the personal impact of the attack and how various individuals need to react in order to save their fellow men and repel the attack.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified will be launched on August 20 in North America on the PC, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 and the game will arrive in Europe three days later.
