The developer behind The Binding of Isaac, the Biblical-themed indie rogue like, has announced that he is interested in bringing the game to two PlayStation-branded gaming platforms after Nintendo blocked the launch that was planned for the Nintendo 3DS handheld.

Edmund McMillen told Joystiq that he is strongly considering the possibility, although he did not reveal whether he was actually in talks with Sony or simply considering his options.

Two PlayStation-branded devices might mean the new PlayStation Vita handheld and the PlayStation 3, with both platforms targeted via the PSN service, or the developer might be thinking about porting his game on the Xperia branded set of phones, which have a dedicated PlayStation Suite.

Via Twitter McMillen also talked about the relationship that he has with Nintendo, saying, “FYI everyone, we are not at all on bad terms with Nintendo”, before adding, “It's their platform their rules, this won't affect any future games with them!”
