Re-Logic announced the release dates for the PlayStation Vita version of their hit title Terraria. European fans will be able to enjoy the title starting December 11, and North American players will be able to download it starting December 17.

The official announcement also stated that PlayStation 3 players should see an update being pushed out, which will allow for cross-play compatibility with the Vita version.

Terraria is an open-ended action-adventure sandbox indie video game that features exploration, crafting, construction and combat with a variety of creatures in a randomly generated 2D world.

The game’s graphics are based on 2D sprite tiles that are similar to the visual style of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

Since its initial release in 2011, more than 2 million copies of Terraria have been sold worldwide, across all platforms.

Terraria is also available on the PC, XBLA, PSN, Windows Phone, Android and iOS.
