Yoshimitsu is a playable character in the upcoming Tekken 7, but you're simply not ready for the way he looks.

Setting aside his demon robot samurai attire, he goes full tentacle monster in the latest installment of the popular fighting video game series, much to everyone's surprise.

Granted, he did show a certain amount of variation over the years, but his latest Chtulhuesque look is by far the creepiest. He also has a squid / Xenomorph face and some skinny swords.

This is probably how the squid characters from Splatoon would have looked, were the game not developed by Nintendo.

In any case, you can see him in action in the video below, and see for yourself that, even if his design changed, his arsenal of deadly moves remained pretty much the same.

Tekken 7 is introducing a host of new characters to the franchise, in what seems to be the trend nowadays. Mortal Kombat X similarly shipped with a slew of brand new brawlers, in an attempt to breathe some fresh life into the aging franchise.

Yoshimitsu will hit Japanese arcades next week. For the time being, Bandai Namco has not uttered a single peep regarding when the console editions of Tekken 7 are due out, but the game is bound to land on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 home consoles sooner or later.
