Video game developer Valve releases new versions both for its core Source Engine and for the associate multiplayer online title Team Fortress 2.

For the Source Engine the development team has fixed a sound problem that mostly affected Mac users, with the changes applying to Day of Defeat: Source, Team Fortress 2 and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch.

The engine also gets a new ConVar sv_shutdown_timeout_minutesForces, which forces a server to shut down even when not empty.

Specifically for TF 2 the new update includes: crash fixes, new promotional items, a fix for a memory leak and other small changes that can be seen on the official page announcement for the update.

Team Fortress 2 is now free-to-play and Valve is constantly delivering updates and content packages in order to keep the player base interested in the game.
