Team Fortress 2 has just received a brand new feature from Valve, in the form of a beta maps category in which players can effectively try out upcoming levels and provide valuable feedback to its staff, in a sort of Steam Early Access way..

Team Fortress 2 is still quite popular as a free-to-play first-person shooter and, with the recent Love & War update, its community has come back to life.

Now, in order to take advantage of this new-found interest in its game, Valve has introduced a new feature for Team Fortress 2 in the form of Beta Maps, according to the official website.

More specifically, in the Play Multiplayer option, users can enable the title to search for beta maps and then choose in what modes they can play them.

Right now there are two new levels called Cactus Canyon and Asteroid. While the first can be played in conventional modes like Payload, the second features a brand new gameplay mode called Robot Destruction in which the two teams must defeat neutral robots to collect cores needed to win. They must also guard their base, so that the enemies don't infiltrate it and steal their cores.

The new levels are still in the early stages of development and Valve warns that big changes could be made depending on user feedback.
