Developer Terminal Reality and publisher Activision Blizzard have announced that Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker, two of the actors of the Walking Dead television series, will lend their voices to the upcoming Survival Instinct title.

The two actors will continue their roles as Daryl and Merle Dixon and will be the protagonists in the new shooter based on the successful Walking Dead universe.

The story is set before the events of the AMC series and will allow players to control the brothers as they try to reach Atlanta and its supposed safe haven for humans.

The original creator of the Walking Dead comic book is not in any way involved with the first-person shooter from Terminal Reality.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will be offered on the PC, the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 at some point during 2013.
